"I had previously tried laser hair removal but did not see any appreciable improvement even after several sessions. I later learned that laser hair removal is not a reliable method of hair removal on the face, even for supposedly "ideal" cases (in fact, it's not even FDA approved for permanent hair removal, despite the marketing). Before trying electrolysis, I used a combination of plucking and shaving to keep the hair in check, but it was time-consuming and still didn't give me the visual or tactile results I wanted, since it caused stubble and irritation and I still had visible shadow from dark hair under the skin. Electrolysis is a long-term commitment, but with time it was extremely satisfying to have truly smooth and hair-free skin for the first time in years."
